CURIOSITY is one of the most ignored words in the world of Learning!

I am curious about curiosity. Here is a 4 1/2 minute podcast and a few thoughts about Curiosity & Learning:

  • I learn best when I am curious.

  • I learn the least when I am not curious.

  • Curiosity happens when the learner wants to know how to do something.

  • Curiosity reflects their wonder, need, requirement, desire or fascination for answers to THEIR question.

  • Curiosity drives, empowers and projects the learner to consume and process the information in the planned learning activity.

  • Warning: Learners (including you) are rarely curious because the learning objective is to learn the new content.

Let’s get CURIOUS about CURIOSITY!

Yours in learning,

I love Madeline Hunter's approach to learning. love her lesson planning guide, she influences the way I approach content development in adult learning, one thing that carried with me when I left K-8 teaching.
