"Learning Everyday!" - Elliott's New Book, More Immersive Podcasts
Elliott Masie’s New Book:
I am excited to announce a new book, “Learning Everyday!”, which I am writing about the organic and continuous ways in which we actually learn. It will be published in 2023 and will meld my work from the past 5 decades with perspectives about shifts in how organizations and employees actually learn and hone their skills on a daily basis.
As I thought about a topic for my 12th book, I became focused on the answers to a single question that I have been asking employees for the past four decades:
“How did you actually learn to do your job?”
The answers revealed that the process of learning was rarely the result of a single learning event or activity. Learning happens Everyday: from colleagues, from managers, from failures, from discovery, from learning resources, from searching, from experimenting and from Curiosity!
I would like to ask a favor of the readers of “NOTES”. Ask a range of your colleagues and friends this question. Listen carefully to how they describe the process of learning to do their job. Send an email to emasie@masie.com with your findings.
