For New Year’s, I will make these “Learning Wishes!” as my resolutions and hopes. I rub the Learning Magic Lamp to make these wishes appear in 2022:
Curation Soars: Give learners the ability to sort, filter and select the best and most appropriate content from multiple sources/suppliers with ease and personalization!
User Interfaces for Performance & Learning: Let the front end of our systems shift the design to support the performance and learning needs of employees!
Focus on Readiness vs. Learning Evaluations: Make “readiness” the outcome measure that we focus on to assess the impact of learning programs.
Stop Using Learning & Development Language: Stop calling the participants “students” - let’s move from modules, objectives and curriculum to work focused terminology.
Let Virtual Reality Go Beyond Headsets: Widespread use of VR for Learning & Simulation awaits the ability to enter a virtual world without wearing an eye-covering headset. Projected, Embedded and Phone Based VR should be soon!
Dashboards and Scorecards for Learners: Why can’t learners see a daily changing dashboard or scorecard of the content or skills they know, need to know or no longer will need.
Scaling Coaching: How do we scale coaching to reach throughout the organization - in shorter and more frequent interactions - assisted with AI & Smart Tech.
Empathy, Please! The workforce deeply appreciates adding empathy elements into our Learning, Development and Talent work processes.
Global & Virtual Facilitation Skills: We need to improve our facilitation skills for both global and virtual gatherings! Facilitation is the art of making meetings and gatherings more “FACIL” or EASIER to collaborate and learn!
I wonder what YOUR Learning Wishes are for 2022! Can you share them as a comment below or an email to me at emasie@masie.com
The very best wishes for a Healthier, Happier and Saner New Year Ahead. May our learning wishes come true!
Yours in learning,
